Ryan J. Berger, M.D.Board Certified Orthopaedic Surgeon Fellowship Trained in Spine Surgery
Dr. Berger is a board-certified, fellowship-trained orthopaedic spine surgeon specializing in the comprehensive care of spinal disorders.
He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, training in a unique hybrid program alongside both orthopaedic and neurosurgical spine surgeons. This experience provided broad, high-volume exposure to the full spectrum of spinal pathology from the skull base to the pelvis.
Dr. Berger then completed a prestigious spine surgery fellowship at OrthoCarolina, consistently recognized as one of the nation’s premier training programs. He has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and maintains active academic interests in quality improvement, health economics, and emerging technologies.
He is skilled in the full range of spinal surgical techniques—including motion-sparing procedures, robotic and navigated surgery, minimally invasive approaches, and traditional open surgery. Dr. Berger treats adult patients ages 18 and older.
Outside of work, Dr. Berger enjoys spending time with his wife, their two children, and their Goldendoodle. He enjoys teaching, staying active, traveling, exploring new cuisine, and listening to audiobooks and podcasts on a wide range of topics. He is also a perennial student, currently making another attempt at learning a second language.
